24-Hour Roadside Assistance
You can always request roadside assistance through your vehicle’s mobile app (myChevrolet®, myBuick®, myGMC® and myCadillac®). If your vehicle is equipped with OnStar® and you are subscribed to the required OnStar® plan, you can simply press the blue button for Roadside Service. Or call Roadside Assistance at 1-800-268-6800 for assistance.
Roadside Assistance provides advisors who are available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, and offers a number of services that help ease concerns resulting from minor roadside events.
Coverage
The services listed below are provided for active OnStar subscribers regardless of the vehicle’s age or mileage for up to 5 years or 160,000 kilometers, whichever comes first (6 years/110,000 kilometers, whichever comes first, for 2013 and newer Buick and Cadillac vehicles; 5 years/100,000 kilometers for 2016 Chevrolet and GMC vehicles) from the date of new-vehicle purchase.
Costs incurred for specific roadside services performed, including those services listed below, are the responsibility of the vehicle owner/driver.
Towing to nearest dealer
If your vehicle is disabled on a legal roadway have it towed to the nearest Chevrolet, Buick, GMC, or Cadillac dealer.
Flat tire change
Call for road assistance to help change a flat tire with the spare or assist with the inflator kit. The spare tire, if equipped, must be in good condition and properly inflated. The owner is responsible for the repair or replacement of the tire if it is not covered by a warranty.
Lockout service
The doors are shut, the windows are up, your keys are lying on your front seat, and you have somewhere to be in 15 minutes. If you find yourself locked out of your vehicle, simply call 1.888.4ONSTAR (1.888.466.7827) and an Advisor can unlock your doors. You can also use your vehicle’s mobile app to remotely unlock your vehicle.
24/7 Toll-free phone assistance
When calling for roadside service, have the following information ready:
- Your name, home address, and telephone number
- Telephone number of your location, if applicable
- Location of the vehicle
- Model, year, colour, and license plate number of the vehicle
- Odometer reading
- Vehicle Identification Number (VIN)
- Description of problem
Emergency fuel delivery
Delivery of enough fuel for the vehicle to get to the nearest service station. (7 liters of Regular Unleaded Gas) at no cost to the customer. Roadside Assistance will tow Electric Vehicle to the nearest charging station or customer’s home address whichever is closest. 2 per calendar year. Roadside will not deliver fuel to vehicles at a gas station. Diesel fuel delivery may be restricted. Propane, bio and other premium fuels are not provided through this service.
Battery jump star
Call for roadside service to help jump-start a dead battery. OnStar Advisors can use GPS technology designed to pinpoint your vehicle’s location.
5 years or more with more than 160,000 kilometers
For vehicles that have been in service for 5 years or more, or whose odometers are in excess of 160,000 km from its in service reading (6 years/110,000 kilometers for 2013 and newer Buick and Cadillac vehicles; 5 years/100,000 kilometers for 2016 Chevrolet and GMC vehicles), Roadside Assistance is pleased to assist you in contacting a roadside service provider to help take care of your needs.
